Art Pod is a visual arts studio based in Rottingdean.

We create space for children, young people and communities to work as artists

— through studio sessions, workshops, collaborative projects and events.

Our work is rooted in process, materials and experimentation. We prioritise time, attention and the development of individual ideas over uniform outcomes.

We work with a wide range of participants, including those who may face barriers to accessing the arts.

This includes young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and those experiencing economic or cultural disadvantage.

Our aim is to make meaningful, sustained engagement with art possible — not as a one-off activity, but as an ongoing part of life.

Our aim is to make meaningful, sustained engagement with art possible — not as a one-off activity, but as an ongoing part of life.

Through our studio programmes and projects, participants are supported to:

• build confidence in their own ideas and creative voice

• develop practical and material-based skills

• form connections with others through shared making

• experience art as something relevant, serious and personal

Art Pod brings together studio practice, education and community engagement

— creating an environment where creativity is taken seriously at every level.
